Cross Morocco from Marrakech to Fes through the Sahara: Ait Ben Haddou, the gorges, a night in our Erg Chebbi camp and the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas.
A one-way journey that links Morocco's two great imperial cities through the desert. The first day crosses the High Atlas to Ait Ben Haddou and the Dades valley; the second follows the road of the thousand kasbahs to the Todra gorge and on to Merzouga for a camel trek and a night in our luxury camp.
On the third day you head north through the palm groves of the Ziz valley, the cedar forests near Azrou, where Barbary macaques live, and the alpine town of Ifrane, arriving in Fes in the evening. Perfect if you continue your trip in the north of Morocco.

Day 2
Dades – Todra gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga camp
Walk in the Todra gorge, lunch on the way and arrival in Merzouga. Camel trek at sunset to our luxury camp in Erg Chebbi for dinner and the night.
Day 3
Merzouga – Ziz valley – Ifrane – Fes
Sunrise, breakfast and drive north through the Ziz valley, Midelt and the cedar forest of Azrou with its macaques, then Ifrane and arrival in Fes in the evening.

Good to know
Pick-up around 7:30 am. Bring a small bag for the desert night; big luggage stays in the vehicle.
No payment is needed to book: you pay on the day in cash (dirhams or euros). Free changes if the weather is not good.
Before you ride
Are the tours private?
Yes. Only your group travels in the vehicle, with your own driver, and the program can be adapted.
Where do the tours start?
We pick you up at your riad or hotel in Marrakech or Fes, or at the airport or hotel in Errachidia, usually around 7:30 am.
Which camp do we sleep in?
In our own luxury camp in Erg Chebbi, with private tents, bathrooms and hot showers.
Can I add a quad or buggy ride?
Yes, on the afternoon you arrive in Merzouga, before the camel trek. Just tell us when you book.
