The classic Sahara trip from Marrakech, done privately with your own driver. You cross the High Atlas by the Tizi n'Tichka pass, explore the film-set kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and spend the first night in the Dades valley, famous for its red rock formations.
On day two you walk in the Todra gorge between 300-metre cliffs, then reach Merzouga in the afternoon for a camel trek at sunset and a night in our luxury camp in Erg Chebbi. If you arrive early, add a quad or buggy ride before the camels. Day three takes you back to Marrakech via Ouarzazate.
Morning pick-up in Marrakech and drive over the High Atlas through Berber villages and the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2,260 m). Visit of the UNESCO kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, then on through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses to the Dades valley. Dinner and night in a riad.
Drive to Tinghir and walk in the Todra gorge. Continue through Erfoud to Merzouga. In the late afternoon, camel trek into Erg Chebbi for the sunset and night in our luxury camp with dinner and Berber music.
Sunrise over the dunes and breakfast, camel ride back to Merzouga and a long scenic drive to Ouarzazate and across the Atlas to Marrakech, arriving in the evening.
Pick-up around 7:30 am. Bring a small bag for the desert night; big luggage stays in the vehicle.
