Sand, stone & sky
Our home is Merzouga, at the foot of Erg Chebbi. Every ride mixes the dunes with the land around them: the black desert, nomad camps and the village of Khamlia.

Golden dunes up to 150 m high, 28 km long, right behind Merzouga. The heart of every ride.
Black Desert
The hamada: plains of black stone, fossils and fast tracks where you can open the throttle.
Khamlia
The village of Gnawa music, at the southern edge of the dunes. Tea, drums and stories.

Do I need experience to drive a quad or a buggy?
No. Our quads and buggies are automatic and your guide explains everything before you start. Beginners begin on easy dunes and go further when they feel ready. Only the KTM motorbikes require off-road experience.
Where do the rides start?
From our base at the edge of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga. We pick you up for free from any hotel, riad or desert camp in Merzouga and Hassilabied.
Can I combine a ride with a camel trek and a night in the desert?
Yes, it is our favourite plan: a quad or buggy ride in the afternoon, then a camel trek at sunset to our luxury camp, with dinner, music and the sunrise over the dunes.
What is the best time of day and of the year?
Early morning and late afternoon have the softest light and the coolest sand. October to April is the most pleasant season; in summer we ride only at sunrise and sunset.
How do I book and pay?
Send the form or a WhatsApp with the ride, date and number of people. We confirm availability and you pay on the day, in cash (dirhams or euros).
Are the excursions private?
Yes. Every ride is just for your group, with your own guide, so the pace and the route are adapted to you.
