3 Hours Quad Bike in the Merzouga Sahara
A proper desert adventure: the dunes of Erg Chebbi, the Gnawa village of Khamlia and the black stone desert, all in one three-hour loop.
With three hours we leave the busy edge of the dunes behind. The route crosses Erg Chebbi to its quieter southern side, where the sand turns deep orange and the crests rise high above the palm groves of Merzouga.
From there we ride out onto the hamada, the black stone desert, to the village of Khamlia. Its families, descendants of people brought across the Sahara centuries ago, keep alive the Gnawa music: a short concert with tea is part of the visit. We return through the dunes as the light turns golden.

Good to know
Wear closed shoes and long trousers. Rides leave at the time you choose; in summer we recommend sunrise or sunset.
No payment is needed to book: you pay on the day in cash (dirhams or euros). Free changes if the weather is not good.
Before you ride
Do I need experience to ride a quad?
No. The quads are automatic and you get a briefing and a short practice on flat sand before entering the dunes.
Can children ride?
Drivers are usually 16 or older. Younger children can ride as passengers with an adult on a duo quad or in a buggy. We confirm the details when you book.
What should I wear?
Closed shoes, long trousers and sunglasses. We give you a helmet, goggles and a Berber scarf against the sand. In winter bring a warm layer for sunset.
What is the best time of day?
Morning and late afternoon, when the sand is cooler and the light is beautiful. In summer we ride only at sunrise and sunset.
