Sunset Quad Ride in Erg Chebbi
Ride when the dunes turn gold, park on a high crest and watch the sun drop behind the Sahara. Our most photographed ride.
We start about 90 minutes before sunset, when the heat is gone and the sand begins to glow. The ride follows easy valleys and gentle slopes, so it is perfect even if you have never ridden a quad.
The goal is one of the highest crests near Merzouga. We switch off the engines and sit on the sand while the dunes change from yellow to orange, red and purple. Your guide takes the photos, then we ride back slowly in the last light.

- Tips
Good to know
Wear closed shoes and long trousers. Rides leave at the time you choose; in summer we recommend sunrise or sunset.
No payment is needed to book: you pay on the day in cash (dirhams or euros). Free changes if the weather is not good.
Before you ride
Do I need experience to ride a quad?
No. The quads are automatic and you get a briefing and a short practice on flat sand before entering the dunes.
Can children ride?
Drivers are usually 16 or older. Younger children can ride as passengers with an adult on a duo quad or in a buggy. We confirm the details when you book.
What should I wear?
Closed shoes, long trousers and sunglasses. We give you a helmet, goggles and a Berber scarf against the sand. In winter bring a warm layer for sunset.
What is the best time of day?
Morning and late afternoon, when the sand is cooler and the light is beautiful. In summer we ride only at sunrise and sunset.
